Silver Sword Evergreen Azalea
Rhododendron 'Silver Sword' is a compact, evergreen azalea cultivar that produces showy white flowers with a yellow blotch in the center. The blooms appear in mid to late spring and are set against a backdrop of glossy, dark green foliage. 'Silver Sword' grows to a height of 3 to 4 feet and has a spread of 2 to 3 feet. It is a low-maintenance plant that is suitable for borders, rock gardens, and mass plantings. This azalea prefers well-drained, acidic soil and partial shade to full sun. It is also tolerant of drought and heat once established.
