Gaura

Gaura, commonly called wandflower, delivers months of airy, dancing blooms on wiry stems that draw bees and butterflies and lend movement to borders and containers. Plants thrive in full sun with lean, well drained soil, show excellent heat and drought tolerance once established, and are generally deer resistant. Water to establish, then irrigate deeply but infrequently, avoid heavy fertilizer, and shear lightly in midsummer to refresh bloom.
